Gayle's Story
Friends of mine should remember that I liked to encourage people to do better. I always liked humanities and volunteered at Queen's Medical as a candystriper (I don't mean stripper), so don't get it confused. After attending school in Modesto, California I became a registered nurse. For relaxation, I like to travel away, but I also like to read, walk, videos, movies, plays, swimming, hiking, and inviting friends and family for home parties where we can play cards, sing karoke and share good times. I must have been pretty boring in school, as I only had a 1/2 day in my senior year and spend my after school days at Kapiolani Park playing soccer and going swimming at the beach, noticing the life guards. I worked at the local telephone company then moved to California. This is where I lost touch with many of my friends, some of whom when to different schools on Oahu. Since my mother worked at Iolani School and my brother went to St. Louis High School and most of my friends went to Ka...Expand for more
lani High and McKinley High my time at Kaimuki was not too noticeable. I got married in Monterrey California, and then moved back to Hawaii, lived in Aiea and Mililani Town. My second marriage I moved back to California and that's when I went back to school. I really enjoyed school, so I kept on going! Working, going to school and having a family is really a super job. Now, I'm not wanting to go to school anymore, but to enjoy the fruits of my labor with my family. Right now, I enjoy the time I have with my children and grandchildren. Here's the fun part I've learned a lot from my kids as they have helped me to get on myspace and I think that it's the greatest way to see your family and friends. It's sad that it's been so long since high school graduation, but the only teacher I remember is visually, because I can't remember his name. I remember getting an "A" in his English Class, one hard thing for a local girl to do.
In any case, it's been great sharing a little bit of myself.
