Gayle's Story

Life After graduation from North Texas, I went to New Mexico to teach & met my husband, Larry. NM, I feel I have 2 home states, & I definitely have kids scattered everywhere--Josh and family in TX, Seretha & family in NM, and Jenn & family in Florida. When I retired, I took classes in interpreting for the deaf and interpreted at Bible study for deaf/blind friends, but after moving back to NM, I've not had the chance to use it as much. In 2007 we returned to New Mexico, expecting to enjoy many years with Seretha & her family. However, the next year Larry developed a brain tumor and died two days after Thanksgiving 2008. My days now are filled with travel, family, and God-related activities. I also adopted two dogs from the animal shelter, and trying to get them trained has been both challenging & fun.
