Gaylen's Story
Well, since I last saw most of you, I have:
City College for a year, while working for my Dad.
Married to Nickie in 1974.
Only child,my son Disraili,born in 1975. He is now 33, married, and in Lancaster CA
1974 Joined the Navy as a Medic. Stationed at a little airbase on the Mexican border in San Diego (NAS Imperial Beach) as a Corpsman. Petty Officer in Charge of the air crash crew at NAS Imperial Beach. Went to reserves in 1977.
Moved to Bakersfield as a Paramedic. Bought a House and Horse.
Moved to San Jose, in 1978, and worked for Fred Hawkins at Palo Alto Ambulance, then for the company that bought them out until 1983, when I completed my Biomedical Equipment Technician training, a real cutting edge job then; according to the employment office there were less than 50 such people in CA at the time.
Divorced in 1980. Retained custody of my son, who lived with me. Horse went with Nickie, along with the boyfriend.
Met Nancy in 1982. Married in 1985. She has since become a Nationally Registered Respiratory Therapist, in several sub-specialties. She holds degrees as a Respiratory Therapist, in Landscaping Design, and Clothing Design and Manufacturing.

as a field repair tech in Silicon Valley, and then in L.A. from 1983- 1985. (What I was doing at the 10 year reunion.)
Married in 1985 to wife, Nancy. Now married 23 years. Lived in Lake Los Angeles, a then small, technology- oriented, community in the Palmdale area desert.
Worked as senior service technician-Laboratory Specialist,at COHR engineering for next 12 years.
Started my own very,very successful laboratory equipment repair business, and sold it to my son after twelve years; enjoying a semi-retirement. I needed a break from it!
Moved to Olympia WA, where I have been semi-retired, and going back to school for a new career as a Histology Technician. I got bored. Just Graduated 12/08. Looking to relocate to a new small city in the western states soon, where we can work in a rural environment.
Hobbies: Restoring Model T Ford cars, Photography, Sailing, Travelling, Kayaking,& Mt. Biking, in about that order.
Things I love to do: Visit family and friends whenever possible. Read Sci-Fi /Fantasy books (devour is more like it!) Restore BOB whenever possible - great progress this year - ready by next year! Tour Northwest backroads in the Model T for hours and hours - they really are time machines!
