Gene's Story
Life
Hi fellow Gators,
It's been a long time since High School. I miss S.C. as I have been living in Illinois since then. I married an Illinois girl and we've been married for 23 years now. I have three great kids and my youngest is a senior in high school. I am an undergraduate from Southern Illinois University with a B.S. in Workforce Education and Development.
I have been a teacher for about 7 years now but before I was in the Navy. I commissioned the U.S.S. Reuben James FFG-57...well and then there were the others too. I went into teaching a few years after I left the Navy. I have been working with kids with special needs and I now work with 7th grade cross categorical kids (it's complicated).
My sideline passion is photography, especially concert pictures. Some of my work is on darylstuermer.com and nilsmusic.com. Daryl plays guitar for Genesis and Phil Collins. He recently released a cd named "GO" which has four of my pictures on it as well as credit. It was exciting and I am working on others as well.
