Gene's Story
I graduated from San Jose State University in 1980 and taught High School Industrial Arts for two years. Then I went to work for Underwriters Laboratories in Santa Clara. Left UL, did some cabinet making, R&D for Wood Stove emissions then returned to UL. I got married in 1990, and we moved to Camas, WA. in 1994. We relocated for a better life style to WA. ompleted 10 years as the responsible engineer at UL for Household and Commercial Furnishings, Kiosks and other built structure assemblies. I am now responsible for branch circuit electrical power distribution systems. I participate on the National Electric Code Panels and my local Building and Fire Codes Commission. We have horses :( my wife and daughters thing. Good for the girls bad for dads wallet! I relocated to MI for a few years with UL. Back in Washington. retired November 2022.
