Gene's Story
Life
Well, I graduated early from Bassett (Oct 1969) and spent some time in the Army (USARV at Long Binh). I've worked in the computer biz mostly. Currently I work for IBM as a consultant. I am married to Ann Allen (Class of 1970 as well). We have two daughters together and we each have 1 child from prior marriages. The two priors are all grown up. My son Richard is married. , and we don't see them nearly oftern enough. Ann's daughter Sarah lives near us and often stops over for a Sunday family dinner. Both our two daughters (Caroline and Laura) are in college (sort of). Ann is now an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Ohio. I completed my MBA on 2005 and am now following Ann through law school, with the goal of a career change after I retire from IBM. I've been in IT a long time, and would like to do something different for the 3rd half of my life.
