Genevieve's Story
I went to work right after high school and did not attend college (which I regret), however, my life was full and interesting. I married my husband Al 34 years ago. Between us we have (had) 5 children. 3 girls and 2 boys. One of our sons, Christopher, passed away at the age of 24, in 2001. We miss him every day. We have 6 grandchildren, 4 girls and 2 boys. My oldest granddaughter, Kristin just graduated college in Colorado in December and left the first week of January to travel throughout Europe (by herself!) for 3 months before she settles into working in Financing.
My other granddaughter is a sophomore in college. She's in tract and is a straight A student and doing very well. The rest of the grandkids are still youngsters from 11 down to almost 3 months. We have fun with our kids and love spending time them and our grandchildren.
We have a home in Scottsdale and another one in Parks, Az. Parks is a small area located between Flagstaff and Williams, Az. We spend time in both homes and try to make the trip to Parks when there are big snowstorms and in the summer months. It's a beautiful area and during the summer months, it is usually on average about 30 ...Expand for more
degrees cooler than in the valley.
My husband and I acquired at one time 9 travel agencies in the west, therefore, we were able to travel extensively
throughout the world. We've done alot of tours and cruises, not only by ourselves, but with family and friends. After we sold the travel agencies, we spent more time tending our off airport parking company business. A few years after we married, I quit working and became a stay at home mom. Even though all our kids are married and out of the house, I still find a way to stay busy. We still manage to travel quite a bit.
At the present time we own 2 dogs (no cats). A white and grey Siberian Husky named Bailey with beautiful blue eyes and a black and white husky mix named Bandit . We got both of them from the Humane Society in Flagstaff last year. They're both beautiful, playful, loving and lots of fun and we thoroughly enjoy them.
I would love to hear from old friends and make new friends. I unfortunately, lost all my yearbooks during one of our moves and do not recognize some names or faces on my classmates pages. I wonder if this has anything to do with getting older?
