Planning for this 30th yr.Class Reunion is going to be harder than the previous years.It's amazing how many people don't want to be involved.I can't fault them for that,even though we're going ahead w/the plans.We want to make the 3 day weekend event as amazing as possible.There's still plenty of time for classmates to change their minds and get involved.Come on and join in the fun!!!
The Back Down Memory Lane party on March 6th was very nice.I had a gr8 time,thx 2 Karen Lewis,Dwoin Carter and the staff at The Blue Ox.The service,food and music were all very nice.It was a fun night had by all. Can't wait until the next 1.
My 46th B-Day was Wonderful!!!My Mom,my
daughter and I went to see THIS IS IT!!
Michael was great.I cried,but I enjoyed
myself.We then went to Famous Dave's, where we met up w/my girl Val.My whole day was Blessed!!!Thanks GOD!!!
Oct.24th was The Lite The Night Walk. Had alot of fun fighting the wind.At least it wasn't windy and rainy like it was last year.We would've still walked anyway.Thanks to Kerri for being such a trooper in this fight for cancer.She has so much energy.Thanks also to everyone that participated and to all the fundraisers.
My most recent walk was on Oct.10th w/
Women Supporting Women for the Cancer Awareness Walk.There were 107 survivors,including myself.There were
over 90 dogs,from chihuahua's to great
danes.We all had a great time.
On Sept.25th,I,my mom and my daughter participated in the Relay For Life Cancer Survivor Walk at Perdue Stadium.
It was very nice.We received a meal,a survivor shirt,cap and pin and a caregiver cap and pin.At 1st,I felt like people were looking at the survivors w/pity,but my mom and daughter helped me to see that we're still here and we're celebrating our lives.I was amazed at how this disease
has effected so many lives,not thinking that one day,my family would be effected.You never think it's gonna happen to you,but it can.All I can do
is try to eat healthier,exercise and keep the stress away,still not knowing if that's enough to keep it from returning.
I took a trip to New Bern N.C.on Sep. 4th for a family reunion.I hadn't been back,since I was a young girl.I'm so very glad that I went.I had a wonderful
time.The food,the activities and especially the weather were great.Can't
wait to do it again.
On Aug.17th,I went back to my oncologist to give him an update on how my cancer meds have been doing.He was pleased,but I had to tell him about the pain in my hip and my knee. The side effects of the meds is joint pain,so he's taking me off the meds again for two weeks to see if the pain goes away.If the pain does,then I'll have to switch meds for the 3rd time. 3rd times the charm,right?So I h...Expand for more

The results from my echocardiogram were
negative.I will be going back on my cancer meds tomorrow.I pray that the chest pains don't return.
Tuesday I had my echocardiogram,which checked my heart.It was really neat.It was a sonogram for your heart.I could see my arteries and my blood flowing.I could also see and hear my heart pumping.Every area of your heart has a different sound,which I didn't know.He wasn't the pathologist,so he couldn't really tell me in detail;but he did say my photos looked the way that they're suppose to look.Thank GOD for that.Next Monday,I should have the results.
I went to my Oncologist on June 15th for pains in my chest again.I was switched from the Tamoxifen,to the Aromasin;because of the pain and the chance of getting blood clots.The Aromasin was suppose to help too,but I encountered chest pains again.I stopped taking the Aromasin and since then,my pains have gone away.My Oncologist can't figure it out,so he's sending me to have my heart checked.In the meantime,I'll be off of the Aromasin;until I get the test results back.It's damned if I do,damned if I don't.I'm not giving up though.I have to keep the faith.
On May 19th,I started a new cancer medicine;called Aromasin.It's suppose to lower my Estrogen level,which is high;but lower than it use to be.The lower my level,the better chance the meds can work to keep the cancer away.
I went from paying almost $6 for the old meds to $76 for the new meds.If it wasn't for my insurance,I'd have to pay over a $1000.Thank GOD for that.
On May 7th,I finally gave in and let my daughter get a tattoo.It was her B-Day present,which is on Mother's day. It was a 1st for the both of us.I had never even been in a tattoo shop.The guy's name is Angel and he was very personable and professional.He really made me feel at ease,because my daughter wasn't nervous at all.She took the pain like a trooper and Angel was impressed and so was I.I wouldn't have a problem recommending him to anybody interested in his work.
On May 2nd I received an e-mail from the nurse that was in the operating
room during my surgery.It was a wonderful surprise,because she remembered me.
I MADE IT EVERYBODY,I'M A 1YR BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR.What a blessed year and day I've had.THANK YOU JESUS!!!
It's fast approaching my 1yr anniversary,since my Breast Cancer surgery.April 17th will be the big day!!!Looking back on it,my thoughts were all jumbled and I didn't know what to think.I couldn't even see this far,but I'm still here.GLORY BE TO GOD!!!
On Jan.26th,I had my 6 month mammogram;
since my radiation ended last July.My results came back clear and free.GOD IS
GOOD!!!
