Genny's Story
Life
I joined the Navy in March of 1990. After initial training in Gulfport, MS to become an Equipment Operator with the "Seabees", I was stationed in Norfolk, VA for two years. Next, I was stationed in Argentia, Newfoundland for almost two years. I got out of the Navy in 1994, returned to Norfolk and married my husband Phil (also in the Navy) in 1995.

by an assignment to San Diego, CA in 2001. We lived in, and truly enjoyed, San Diego for four years and had our third son, Drew, in 2003. Finally, we moved to Oahu in March 2005 for Phil's final Navy assignment at Pearl Harbor, HI. In 2008 he will complete his 20 years of service and we plan to move back to the US Mainland, along with our three cats.
I enjoy volunteering at the Humane Society, reading, hiking, running, going to the beach and, most of all, hanging out with my kids (which can be pretty exciting with three boys!).
