George's Story
Not much to tell. I suspect that those of you who knew me in high school would guess that I had been to prison at least twice by now, but lo, such is not the case.
After graduation I attended Lee College for half of a semester in 1966 and then dropped out. Joined the Air Force in May of 1967 and went to San Antonio for basic and then to Biloxi, MS for training in Radio Relay Equipment repair. In April,1968 was sent to Hololulu for the next three years. Discharged as E-5 in May, 1971. Went back to Lee College in Sept. 1971 and graduated in 1973 with the highest GPA of any male in my class! attended U of H as undergraduate in 73-75 and then went to U of H law School where I graduated in May of 78 and got my law license in November of 78,...Expand for more
shortly after marrying my wife, Nancy, in August, 78, after we met in law school.
My legal career has been centered around real estate and title insurance. I have worked for various Title Insurance Cos. in Houston; the longest tenure of which was Stewart Title Guaranty Co for 21 years. Retired in 2008, got morbidly bored in 2015 and went back to work in the title industry this year (2015).
While I was with Stewart I traveled a good bit around the United States: Colorado, California, Arizona, Rhode Island Georgia, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Utah. On the foreign side I traveled to Banff, Canada, Quebec, Canada, Cabo San Lucas, Oaxaca, Mexico, Bahamas, Costa Rica, and the Cayman Islands. Not bad for a local boy. And that's my story. so far!
