Phyllis's Story
Life
After graduating from Milford Mill, I continued my education at The Community College of Baltimore. There I majored in Art and received my AA degree. I also met my future husband, George Gill, while working on the college newspaper.
After that, I attended Towson State College and majored in Early Childhood Education, but did not receive a degree in that field. I returned to Towson University in 1986 and received a degree in Studio Arts. In 1974, I married George...Expand for more
and in 1979 gave birth to a son, David, and in 1980 another son, Jason.
They are now 24 and 26 years old. I have held various jobs including Day Care Center Director, Retail Sales Associate, Artist and Engineering Clerk. I still hope to set up a studio, where I can work in ceramic sculpture. Currently, I'm working with another artist who has started a school to teach ceramic sculpture.
I am in the process of separating from my husband and about to start a new life.
