George Goodchild:  

George Goodchild, Thurston HS class of '63. Left HS, had various short term jobs cause I was bored, so I joined the USAF so I could be my own boss. That didnt work out well, what with Vietnam and all, so I decided to go to college. Finished my freshman year at the Univ of Philippine Is while in the service. Went to MSU when I got out, MSU class of Dec 70. Became a teacher in Montrose, MI (just north of Flint) on 2/1/71. Became asst principal on 1/5/78, after getting my masters at EMU 6/77. Became Princial of Montrose MS, then Central Office. Became superintendent of Kingston Community Schools (out in the thumb, east of Saginaw), and commuted there from Birch Run, where we lived, so my kids didnt have to move. They had good friends and were doing well. Chad, Jeffiny, and Janae graduated 2nd, 10th, and 5th in their classes respectively. Chad, now 32, is an assistant vice pres for Merrill-Lynch in NY. Jeffiny, now 30, is a pharmesutical rep for Adventis drug company in NC, and was married over labor day weekend of 08 in Napa Valley, CA at a w...Expand for more
