George's Story
Life
Well I didn't finish college, but I became head of Engineering Research and Development of a Billion dollar company and retired in 2004. In my younger days I did a little Drag Racing for several years and became sponsored by Ford Motor Company in the 60's. I was lucky enough to own two 1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolts (worth between $200,000 - $500,000 today) and a 1969 Boss 429 Hemi Mustang (worth $500,000 today). I am in to Classic Cars now and I own a 1967 Ford Fairlane GTA ($25,000) and a 1967 Ford Fairlane "R Code 427" ($130,000) and a 1965 Mustang Fastback.
I have a lovely wife and two grown boys. I feel fortunate to be alive today. I thought I would be dead before I was 50... I have done more things that I thought I would ev...Expand for more
er do, been more places through out the world than I ever expected to go, accomplished more than I thought I ever could, have several patents, and the best of life. I owe it all to my determination, my loving wife and most of all to the grace of GOD.
Many say that retirement isn't what its cut out to be and I must totally agree. It is much, much better!!! And I am enjoying most every moment of it.
I really enjoy these classic cars and going to local car shows. You meet such interesting people and make many new friends, some with the same interest I have today and many with the same interest I had in the 60's - 70's.
I truly hope that your life has been as good as mine, but pray that it is even better.
