George (Butch)'s Story
Life
I attended Blanchester Elementary School from Kindergarten through 4th Grade. We moved to Loveland where I completed 5th through 12th. I entered the Army in June 1979, as a helicopter Flight Engineer (Crew Chief) and stayed on active duty until October 2000. I retired as a First Sergeant (E-8). I am a combat veteran of Operation Desert Storm and have been in over 38 countries world wide.
In Jan 2002, I returned to college full time and entered Emporia State University . I graduated with honors (Suma cum Laude) in May 2004 with a Bachelors of Science in Social Sciences with emphasis in History and Political Science. I am a member of National Honor Greek Societies: Phi Alpha Theta and Pi Gamma Mu.

sign and Technology. I graduated May 2005 with an Masters of Science in Instructional Design and Technology with a 4.0 gpa. I now work for Northrop Grumman as an Occupational Safety Engineer.
My hobbies include: horseback riding, singing and bicycling. My wife and I completed the Bike Across Kansas ride in June 2004, consisting of 489 miles in 7 days.
The success during my career was made possible by the support and love of my wife of almost 30 years. We have a son, Russell, daughter, Danielle, and two grandchildren, Daylan (7) and Ashton (4).
On March 29th, 2009, my wife Tina (Schultz) Litteral lost her fight with Breast Cancer. Tina fought her cancer and never ever quit. I miss her more than words can say, but I know she is truly in a better place, watching over me and our children and grandchildren.
