well let's see... in 1977 i went into the construction business in washington dc involved in the construction of metro stations,sewage treatment facilities,prisons,and office buildings. from 1988 until 1994 i was vice president and construction operations manager of a firm in washington.in 1994 i started my company, helix construction services inc.and continue in that and other endeavours today.i got married in 1984. i have 3 sons, one born in 1985 and twins born in 1987. my life had a "sea change" in 2004 and as a result i've been reassessing my priorities and goals since. while i still...Expand for more
have to give a large measure of my attention to my business activities, i now spend a much greater amount of time with my creative pursuits. i rediscovered painting after a 30 year hiatus and spend a good portion of my time in that pursuit. much to my amazment i now exhibit my work and have sold some pieces. my goals now are to begin the process of my eventual relocation to new mexico at least on a part time basis and to figure out how to successfully "pass the baton" in my business over the next 5 to 7 years. oh yes, and to try to stay alive and enjoy at least 10 to 15 years of retirement.
