Life
Now retired! Can it be?
It has been a good ride. CPA and CFE, who has had an opportunity to see the world. Survived Vietnam, lived in Singapore, worked in Basra and Bagdad, Iraq in midst its turmoil, worked on Kwajalean Island, Marshall Islands, Papua New Guinea, Australia (approx, 2 years), Indonesia, and my last job was in Hanford WA (one of the most contaminated places in world due to Manhattan Project). I listed just a few of the places I have worked in and for me and has been quite a journey. Have three wonderful adult children and two beautiful grand daughters. What did I do with my career? Internal Audit Director, Ethics Officer, and corporate investigator.
I have been blessed and am very blessed! Today it is racquetball and bridge (working on my life masters) and hopefully more opportunities to see the Americas and world. In have continued my travels in retirement making trips to Saigon, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong and most recently Dubai. (using my travel miles).
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have good cup of coffee, administrative assistant(yes I am spoiled), and a computer to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
To be honest, today my greatest pleasure is visiting grandchildren. So today, yes I am a GRANDFATHER.
