George's Story
Sept 1949 - I matriculated at the Dominican Pre-seminary- St Mary's College-Winona MN-- lasted six months- no vocation--USMCR Presidential Appointment- Annapolis Class 54 --endured two and one half years- resigned -did not desire a Marine Corps commission-- matriculated U of M Mpls-- appointed Cadet Colonel--Commander -AFROTC-Brigade - commissioned Second Lt AF July 54-- Navigator Training-Ellington AFB TX- Intercept Controller Training Tyndall AFB-FL--assigned Minot AFS, ND-- Air Defense Command- Intercept Controller- hired Procter and Gamble (One per One K- selection rate (really lucked out)- Industrial Engineer- recalled Navigator -Tachikawa Japan-- 352 sorties over enemy territory- April 1971-- (eight years later diagnosed PTSD 100% disabled)-- assigned Andrews AFB, MD-National Airborne Command Post-Defense Intelligence Agency (support of POTUS) Inte...Expand for more
lligence Officer-- Air War College -Masters Degree Auburn -Public Administration- Retired Lt COL__June 1977-- worked in various black programs DIA, CIA etc- Senior Scientist- retired-- as above 100% disabled-- wife Elsbeth passed- 30 November 2017-- married 63 years -- cared for her 28 months -seven days per week--- three children, G Sean -MBA- Boeing VP- USNA 77 graduated, Michelle Maria- MBA BSRN Georgetown-(deceased,) Anne Monique, BSRN Georgetown ( my Angel here on earth, nursed me through a near death experience- fourth one since 2002-- fourth child--Mary Lorraine (Elsbeth says = gift from God)- BS Psycho Therapy-James Madison VA- I am now living-Independent Living -Bedford Court-- Silver Spring MD-having complication-- lots of doctors--I am sure this is more than you ever desired to know!!!!!!! --- may God always hold you in the hallow of HIS hand---
