Connie 's Story
Life
After completing Cumberlnd College in Williamsburg, KY, I married and moved To Louisville, taught school while hubby obtained his masters at Southern Theological Seminary. we then moved in 1978 to Greenville, KY, in the western part of the state. We still reside in Greenville.
I'm married 36 years as of August 2 (2011) to a wonderful man and minister, George Thompson, who works part time for hospice, part time for a local funeal home, and pastors a little church in the next community up the road. We have two grown children, Melody is 31, married in 2008 and has a degree in education. She is a teacher's aide in our shcool sytem, and is waiting for an opening to teach the elementary levels. n the technology department of our school system, servicing a total of 11 schools. Marshall is married to a local gal, and HS Science teacher. I am retired one year from teaching elem. music, to 600 students; I play piano and sing for church. Received my Master's several years ago, and earned the certification for National Boards in Elem. Music back in 2004.
The weather in Western KY is very mild, with just a few days of below zero in the winter. I enjoy flower gardening and yard work with hubby, cooking, reading, crafts (in particular scrap booking & card making) and enjoy watching Univ. of KY basketball games. (GO WILDCATS !) I get up to NY about once every other year.... but the older I get the more I want to visit more with my family.
