George's Story
After high school I partied and played music in Skyhawk with Jimbo Brown till 1981. I got married in 82 and settled down and quit partying. We had kids in 86 and in 87 i got saved and started working for God. We moved to Alabama in 94 and been doing good. I have recently founded The Forgotten Families Project Inc. We help distressed families of drug and alcohol offenders regroup after an arrest or death of a fimily member from the addictive lifestyle. In our area in north east Alabama the meth problem is HUGE. Families are being torn apart. I decided to do something to help families get back on solid ground. It's gonna be a lifetime of work! I still play music in church some, work my cabinet shop, work the TFFP group, and hang with the family. life turned out good. I should of died years ago but God spared me!!! I recently started thinking about the old school days and the way I am probaly remembered. Best I can tell we have all changed a bunch as life moves on. Not a bad thing.

you will remember me as a long haired dope head trying to be a rock star. I skipped so much school 11 and 12 grade that i almost did not graduate. they would not let me be in the graduation event, because i was a "social outcast". They were worried i would disrupt the event . i got my diploma in the mail. Does anybody remember the Buddie Davis events where 200-300 people would come to his folks farm and party. The sears town parking lot, green pond road, ect. Thank God I made it thru all that stuff. I am LIVING PROOF of the grace and mercy of God. The life I lived from 1969 to 1982 was some bad stuff, but it prepaired me to be able to help others who can't seem to pass on thru to a better life. We all have made mistakes, some bigger than others, but there is hope for all. That seems for the past few years to be my purpose, to tell others there is hope. If you don't beleive me, just remember the George you knew in 1974.
