George's Story
George is from Seattle, Washington. George is married to Barbara Rudge Knowles. George's schools include Ladue-Horton-Watkins High School. Left Ladue after sophomore year to move to New Zealand where I attended high school and two years at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch. Returned to Seattle in 1964 to finish college at the Univ of Washington. Joined the two year ROTC program to keep from being drafted and served from 1968 - 1970 as a combat engineer. Married Barbara and headed off to law school graduating in 1973 joining a maritime insurance defense firm in Seattle. Left after five years to open my own office representing injured seamen which I have been doing for the last 38 years while owning and operating a Bering Sea/Deadliest Catch type crab boat. ls and a boy). The youngest is now 35. When the kids were young we bought a cabin at a ski area east of Seattle where we would go every weekend and holiday during ski season. Regardless of motivation, we all became excellent skiers. We later sold and bought a townhome at Whistler, BC selling it after ten years to move to Sun Valley, Idaho where we have a second home. I still practice law in Seattle and remotely from Sun Valley, splitting our time between the two. I was a runner for 30 years finally giving up due to knee problems and turned to cycling. We enjoy travelling and do a European bike trip every year, heading for Spain next month to cycle the Baleric Islands. I enjoyed my three years at Ladue and the friends I made. Sorry I haven't kept in touch although I did attend our 35th class reunion, but missed the 50th. All the best , George
