School
Bored stiff at Lincoln Elementary, woke up to grades at Longfellow when a classmate called me stupid in 7th grade! Enjoyed 'Tosa high very much, where I was business manager for the ACappella Choir, worked on the Cardinal News, worked in the book store with Geoff Etherington, won Bausch&Lomb Science award, National Honor Society, and had neat dance partner in Gloria Swanson.

Military
Had a great time as an active CIC agent in civilian clothes, etc., in West Berlin in 1955 - 56. Met Glynn twins from Wauwatosa, on the USS Gen. Eltinge going overseas, and we were all assigned to West Berlin, oddly enough. We travelled in their VW convertible through Germany, France, Italy, Austria to 19 days in 1955, and went to Garmisch Partenkirchen for a week of skiing R&R that winter. Had good times galore.
