Georgia's Story
I remember more of my life as a toddler than I do of high school. I don't know why I'd want to block out those carefree days of adolescence. I started relying on my adrenal glands then. You may not remember me either, but if I did anything hateful to you I will be at Captain's Quarters to make amends. Until then, I submit this abridged version of my life for the demographic and to indulge myself.
I moved to Cincinnati for grad school where I got my MFA in painting. I worked as a printmaker doing intaglio and woodcut, but apparently that was too hi-tech so I started working at an educational farm as the gardener. There I have been truly happy: animals, woods, growing stuff, keeping bees, working w/kids and people I love. In the winter I do art projects w/kids in public schools. I inherited a bunch of money so I decided to do what I wanted. Life is short, n'est-ce pas? Maybe not short enough as I expect to be broke by retirement age when I will realize my dream of living off-the-grid. Or maybe under it.

an dream homes and foreclosures where crack dealers hold seminars. It's a good, long way from my Wolf Pen Branch Rd. days.
Here are some unvarnished fun facts:
I have a mole on my chin that sprouts a hair like a cartoon hag. I can hoist a good sized sheep into the back of my truck; the hood is held on w/bungee cords. I work like an aging Clydesdale so my arms and legs look like I've been falling out of trees. I went through a long, dark period of confusion beginning in 2000 which lifted slightly last November. I wear bifocals. We have (or had) ghosts in our house. I have been googling snails to find out how they make those hard, spiral shells. I am leaning toward reincarnation as a strong possibility. I am interested in unexplained phenomena, underbellies and inner workings, especially in human brains. I like silent movies, The Venture Brothers and Neil Young. I might have ADD.
In closing I want to say that despite different life experiences I assume our common denominator includes dashed hopes, hard choices, painful losses, unexpected turns, milestones, surprising gains from bad events and the awe of life's swiftness. May we all appreciate what we have.
