Gerald's Story
In a nutshell.
Went to United States Merchant Marine Academy, Kingsport New York, one year, went to sea, chronic seasickness, medical discharge.
Transferred to University of South Florida, graduated March 1974 BA Finance, first permanent job Internal Revenue Service. Worked there nine years five months 22 wonderful days but I cannot remember which days of the 22 were wonderful.
Transferred to Defense Contract Audit Agency April Fools' Day 1984 retired from there January 10, 2010.
Currently spending over 500 hours a year at the local SPCA. Volunteer ...Expand for more
Ranger for the Florida Forest Service out of Lakeland. Volunteering with The Natures Conservancy in their prescribed fire program.. Working with the Ridge Rangers in habitat restoration. Currently nationally rated forestry Firefighter Type 1 and Class B Sawyer. Three supervisory signatures for work performed during an actual wildfire to obtain my Engine Boss ticket.
I have two boys who live in Fort Lauderdale from my first wife; spent 10 years with various girlfriends before marrying my second wife who died of cancer in 2015 after 21 years of marriage.
