Gerald's Story
I was working at the Giant Store after we graduated in May.I joined the Navy in September.
I went to boot camp at Great Lakes and boilerman class " A " school there also.
In the cold days of March,from a school North of Chicago,IL.I was transfered to my ship the USS Epperson DD-719 docked at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.I was aboard the ship for a couple of months when it went to dry dock,I was then transfered to the USS Fletcher DD-445 also at Pearl Harbor.

After I was discharged in 66,I had a couple of jobs before being hired at Delco-Remy of General Motors.8/8/66
I met the lady that I am married to the same day I hired on at good old DR.
My wife Gloria (Kissack) was also a
Pirate in the class of "66".
We have 2children,6grandchildren,and 1great-grandson,and 1 great-granddaughter.
I retired July 1,2006 after 40 years.
I lost my wife of 45 years the day after Christmas 2011. R.I.P. GLORIA, GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN.
