Life I live in Canton, Michigan with my wife Helen and we have been married for 33 years. I work for General Motors and I am into my 40th year with the company. I started with Cadillac Motor Car Division shooting screws on the assembly line in December 1968 after dropping out of college. President Nixon liked my style so he drafted me to be one of his hired guns and I spent 2.5 years in the U.S. Army and 18 months in Vietnam with the 1st Aviation Brigade, a helicopter unit - call sign Hexmate, at Phu Loi, RVN from 12/69 to 7/71. When I returned from Vietnam I was assigned to the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colorado - heaven on earth after Vietnam and was there until December 1971. When I returned from the military I earned a degree in Industrial Management and spent 25 years with Cadillac Motor Car Division in Manufacturing and Manufacturing Engineering. I worked for the GM Truck Group for 7 years in Pontiac, Michigan on the Midsize Truck Vehicle Development Team where we created the all new GMC Envoy, Chevy TrailBlazer, Olds Bravada, Buick Rainier, Saab 9-7x, Chevy SSR, and Trailblazer SS. ...Expand for more
