Gerald's Story
Life
Debbie and I married in August of 1990. It was a second marriage for both of us. We have 9 grandchildren, 2 boys and 7 girls; 5 are here in Omaha. Family is at the center of our lives.
I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1973. Joined Sprint in 1978 and was transferred to Omaha in 1991. I was a sales engineer with Sprint until I retired in 2016. Deb was a legal secretary with the firm for 20 years.
We enjoy weekends riding our Harley Davidson Electra Glide or roadster convertible to nearby bed & breakfast inns. We enjoy playing golf around town but also take our clubs with us when traveling. We have friends in Wisconsin and Minnesota and visit often.

e his dad, he’s a musician and has played guitar for numerous bands in the Twin Cities. He’s married and has 2 girls.
Daughter, Karen earned her PhD in psychology at U of M and lives in San Diego. She’s married and has 2 girls.
Many of my friends from RHS are now gone, like Jim Manke and Jim Hillestad. I enjoyed working on stage crew during my sophomore and junior years, but wish I had done more activities.
Something most people don’t know about me: I was in an accordion band for several years during high school. We performed at many local nursing homes. Our leader, Jill Gallagher, was wonderful and amazing; I wish I could thank her. It’s a shame we’ve never had a reunion. I don’t even have a photo of us; there were 8 or 9 members, I think.
