Geraldine's Story
When I was in school.... I was smart. I took AP English, AP US History and AP Music. Music was and remains my passion. I love ALL kinds of music... fronm Tejano and Norteno to Reggae and Techno and lots of stuff in between. I was in Dr. Dzik's classes. First Junior Chorus and then Senior Chorus. th the Senior Chorus at my graduation. Anna Arutinov and I were very close friends and she saw that it was depressing me. She circulated a petition, asking that Doc not ban me from performing at graduation. He agreed on the condition that I take a lower grade, which I did. It was wonderful to know that so many people supported me.
Now, I have two beautiful girls. Jasmine is 19 and Cynthia is 6. Both my girls love to sing as well, by the way. I am working in the court system and I still live in the Bronx. I still sing, but I never did make it on Star Search or American Idol. Maybe I'll take it up in a more serious way again. Hey, maybe we can start up a Senior Chorus Revisited Group! Do u remember marching up Morris Park in the Columbus Day Parade, in our robes??
