Jerri's Story
Since graduating in '74, I served 10 years in the Army. While in the Army, I served at Ft. Huachuca, Ft. Rucker, Alabama, Camp Casey, South Korea, and Germany. Before I went to Germany, however,I gave birth to my daughter, Christina, She was allowed to come with me to Germany and it was a pleasant experience.
After the Army, I went back to Alabama. In 1995, I graduated from college with an Associate's degree in Secretarial Sciences. For five years, I worked with Kelly Services, working at three of the hospitals in the Birmingham, AL area as a file clerk. In 1995, I also married a guy I was to find out...Expand for more
later, sexually molested Christina (who was 14 at the time). He is currently serving 15 years in an Alabama state prison for the rape. In Oct '07, I moved to San Francisco to live with, and help take care of my older brother. He suffers from Diabetes. In Feb., 2008, four toes had to be amputated from his right foot. He is doing much better, now. In Oct. 2008, I entered the Medical Assisting Program at Heald College - San Francisco. Next month, I will start an externship at one of the hospitals here, and will graduate in Apr. 2010. And - that pretty much sums up my life. Would love to hear your stories.
