After high school, I attended UMSL & graduated from MU in 1977 with my B.S. Education. I taught special education in Kansas. Subsequently, I worked in sales & sales management in Louisiana (earning an MBA from the University of Louisiana in 1986) & Missouri (marrying my husband, a great guy I met running in Baton Rouge, in 1988). About a year after our only child, a son, was born I left sales management. I did consulting & training work while contemplating my next move. The next year I started working for not for profit agencies first in business & then advocacy & community education. I resumed working on my Masters in Education.
