Gertrude's Story
After getting out of school married my school sweetheart. Married 52 years when he died. We had 4 children 3 boys and 1 girl. Lost one son to cancer in September this year. I've been diagnosed with cancer, terminal
I live at The Fountains assisted living facility, been there 2 1/2 years . I like it. Can come and go as I please. , which is nice. Two of my children live here , but 1 will be moving to Tennessee , I have a son in Virginia and a granddaughter, who is married. No children. Have had a son that lived in Tennessee. And died there of brain cancer. Still have a daughter in law, grandson , and his girlfriend , they are getting married in October, and I'm going to be there with bells on. My anothe...Expand for more
r son is married never had kids , did not want any. My daughter was married has two kids. Who has now has 3 of my g.greatgrand kids, one whom is 18, she likes money so she works a the time. As everyone in my class knows my age ,,85 in April . Keep myself busy,going out to lunch. Or dinner either with son or granddaughter or sister. This is at least 3 times a week. So I'm busy doing something. Even here where I live many things to do. Well that my story, as far as it going neverr boring . I did give up driving, that leaves one less old lady on the road , to much traffic on the road. And most of the drivers can not drive worth a damn.
