So here we are, nearly fifty years later. Let's see if we can condense a half-century into a few paragraphs (which should be easy, my life's pretty boring)... I went on to the University of Massachusetts, Boston after NHS, spent four years there and remain some paperwork shy of graduation. So it goes. While in college, I started working as a news photographer for the Suburban Press and then moved on to the Framingham/Middlesex Daily News (now MetroWest), with a short break to work as a writer for the oldest and least successful video production house in the Boston area. In the summer of 1980, I went to visit relatives in the San Francisco Bay area to see what California looked like before it fell into the Pacific. I fell in love with the place. Three months after I got back, I had packed up, quit my job and moved there permanently (and frankly never looked back). I found that I had a certain knack for computers thanks to the data entry job I took after I moved and bounced between that career and media and writing for most of the next thirty years.
