Anita's Story
Life
Since it would take too long to narrate all that has happened in the many years since high school---how about in outline form?
-Went to UCLA for two years and lived at home.
-1970 Transferred to UCBerkeley and graduated in Dec. 1972. Lived with Bob Green.
-May 1973-Moved to Durango Colorado with Bob to continue to work at Camp Scotmar, summer camp in Mancos, Co. Lived in Durango after camp was over.
-Left Colorado and Bob after summer of 1974 and moved to San Diego. Took undergraduate courses in Art and discovered my calling.
-Moved to Venice Beach, CA. in 1976 and started graduate school at Cal State Univ. LA
Got Master in Art with emphasis in Museum Education in 1979,
-Became Education Director of the LA Municipal Art Gallery in Barnsdall Park in 1980 to 1984. Started photography career with exhibitions in LA.
-Met future husband during the summer of the LA Olympics of 1984, married March 1985. Left LA and landed in Reno, NV in Fall of 1985. Continued as a Museum Educ. consultant and had photo exhibi...Expand for more

-First son, Michael was born in 1987.
-Moved to Las Vegas in Jan. 1988.
-Second son, Alex was born in 1989.
-Began working free-lance in museum education in Las Vegas in 1991.
-Separated from husband in July, 1997 and divorced in 1999 with joint custody of children.
-My mother died in March, 1998.
-Major solo exhibition of photography in 2000.
-Became Director of Arts Education for International House of Blues Foundation in 2000.
-In 2001, left IHOBF and became Head of Education for the Guggenheim Museum in Las Vegas.
-In 2004, resigned from the Guggenheim and am now freelancing and doing my art!
Michael is in 11th grade and Alex is in 9th grade and they're wonderful kids. Life is pretty exciting these days!
-In 2005 received my teaching credential and started working as high school Art Teacher from 9/06 thru 6/12.
-My sister, Sharon, died in August of 2006. I moved my father to Las Vegas in 3/12 and he turned 97 this March.
-I'm pursuing my photography and art. I created a website for my work.
