Cynthia's Story
After high school I attended CSU, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Fine art with a teaching certificate in Art K-12 as well. I got married to Van Rubiano from Pittford, New York in 1984. I live in Fort Collins, CO. We had our first daughter, Brandi in 1985, and our second daughter, Jordan, in 1990. I was a stay at home mom until recently.
I was divorced in 1992. I have a fiance', Jess Aragon. He owns TimberRock Landscape Center,Treeland Christmas Trees, and Spooky's Pumpkin Patch. I do all of the advertising and marketing for his businesses.
My ex-husband died in 2006.
My daughter Brandi got married in August 2008. She works for
Foothills Gateway in Fort Collins, which is a non-profit that serves the men...Expand for more
tally handicapped in Northern Colorado. My daughter Jordan is a freshman at CSU and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. I also have taken into my home, a mentally handicapped 26 year old female client. She moved in October 10, 2008. She is very fun to have around and it is very rewarding work.
My parents still live in Columbine Knolls in the same house I grew up in. My sister, Lyn, who graduated in 1982, lives in Fort Collins with her husband and 14 year-old son, Mason.
I always wanted to be a mother when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a perfect idea. As it turns out, they were right.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Judy Logan, because I always looked up to her.
