Gigi's Story
Life
In 1979, I married a widower-17 years my senior (head football coach at Chabot College)with 2 small children. We had no children of our own. Right after we married, we moved to Mission Viejo in SoCal-a great place to raise a family. I worked full time as a dental hygienist in one practice for about 20 years. I am presently not working. My husband was the Dean of PE/Athletic Director at Saddleback College also in MV. He retired once, but is now in the same position on an 2 year interim basis at Irvine Valley College (sister college to Saddleback). Someone needs to explain to him the definiton of Interim!!!!!!
In 1997 we built a 2nd home in the NorCal foothills near Grass Valley, on 5 acres that we purchased in 1990. We hope to someday move to the country full time.
Until then, I am continuing to do alot of traveling back and forth between Norcal and SoCal. After 7 ye...Expand for more
ars of living part time in both ends of the state, it is getting old.........but never boring.
We have 2 Grandsons (4 1/2 yrs and 18 months) who presently live in Kansas with their parents. Our son is a pediatric surgeon, married to a pediatrician. Our daughter (who remains unmarried) is an editor for a court of appeals justice in SF.
I esp enjoy traveling and have done so extensively. My husband has been very involved in International Sport and has been on the Board of Directors of the US Olympic committe for the past 25 years. I also have been a volunteer for the USOC. What a thrill it has been.
Besides travelling, I enjoy gardening, reading, skeet shooting, karaoke (now that's scary) and all types of music and movies and spending time with family and friends.
I have enjoyed going to my Reunions, but wish more of you would attend.
Hope to see you next year at our 30th!
