Gilbert's Story
I graduated from NC State University in 1972 and married my wonderful wife(Beverly Farmer Anderson - Parkland '69) 2 weeks after my college graduation. What an awesome blessing my wife is! My late Mother said it best, when she said I could life a thousand lifetimes and never find a better wife than my Beverly.
The Lord has blessed us with 3 sons: Gilbert III (Bert) born 1976, John - 1979, and James (Jimmy) 1980 (all 3 graduated from North Forsyth). Bert and his wife, Lisa, are both also NC State grads. On November 14, 2009, they gave birth to our first grandchild - a beautiful girl Lucinda Gail (Lucy)!
We owe everything to our Lord Jesus Christ, who brought us together and has blessed and sustained us through numerous ups & downs. I have seen so many examples of God's amazing grace. He sent His Son, Himself in human flesh, to live the perfect example and die on the cross to save us from the penalty for our sins. I stand in awe of the fact that I can have a personal relationship with the creator, owner, and sustainer of this vast universe. God's love and strength have been my strength and my anchor through many times when I've been unlovable and weak.

anager, and have been blessed with many challenging experiences in manufacturing and distribution. I have worked with a diverse array of products - ships, textiles, apparel, wallpaper, wire/cable, automotive interior products, and leather accessories. I am currently an Industrial Engineering Project Manager, supporting a group of distribution centers for truck parts. My full professional profile can be found on LinkedIn.com.
In my personal life, as well as in my career, I have enjoyed teaching and coaching. I have trained numerous Engineers, Technicians, and Managers in the practice and use of Industrial Engineering and Process Improvement. I have also had the great honor of teaching and facilitating Bible study for adults and youth. The study of God's Word, as I've prepared to lead Bible study, has been a great personal blessing for me.
Although I am not athletic and was somewhat of a geek in high school, I have always loved sports. My most enjoyable hobby has been coaching Little League baseball, which I have done for some 16 years. (I have coached for 8 years after my sons quit playing). As a Little League coach, I always tried to teach character and leadership, along with baseball skills.
