Gilbert's Story
Well, being one of those guys that went through high school under the radar, many of you may not even remember me, but I still remember most of Y'all and think of Y'all from time to time.
As for me, I stayed in Spring and have been with the Houston Police Department for 28 years. I met my wife when I stopped her car to get her number (that's a long story) and we just celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary. We have two great kids, Ethan (17) and Shelby (16).
Besides working for HPD, I graduated from UH (although I was one of those...Expand for more
old returning students), I run a lot and participate in trail runs throughout the state, I golf a little, I coach my kids teams, and mostly I just live vicariously through my children as I'm sure many of us do.
I still run into classmates around town and there are a couple of others besides me working for HPD. We just attended my wife's 30 year reunion (she was one of those cheerleader, majorette, band sweetheart popular chicks) and now I feel compelled to attend ours even though I missed the last two.
