Gilbert's Story
Life
After high school I went to Embry-Riddle in Daytona Beach for two years. Since I was not the best student, I decided to join the Navy. I went to boot in Sep of '95, My "A" school (Sonar Tech)in San Diego, and went on to serve on the USS Stout DDG-55. While on board the Stout, I went to Canada, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Bahrain, the Seychelles, Isreal, Spain, England, Portugal, and Madeira. I married my wife, Heather, in September 2001 and I am now working on my Masters degree in Education at Old Domin...Expand for more

College
Went to Embry Riddle for 2 years until I joined the Navy--5 years later, went to SUNY Albany after I got out of the Navy; moved to Virginia to be with my wife and went to Old Dominion for 2 weeks before I was recalled into the Navy (after 9-11). Re-enrolled at Old Dominion after another year of service--have been there for almost 2 years--another two to go seeing as they only accepted 19 of my 54 transferred credits. I will have my Masters degree when I graduate in 2006.
