Connie's Story
To the Monterey High Class of 1968:
I have created a profile for Connie Gilmore because she is no longer with us. Connie fought a short battle with cancer in 2012, and succumbed to her illness November 17th 2012. I am her daughter, Katie. I felt that her classmates should know her story because she always wanted to attend a reunion but was never able.
Connie graduated in 1968, stayed in Monterey for a few years afterward, and in 1974 married Bob Brown. Bob enlisted in the US Army, which took them to San Antonio, Texas for a short amount of time. b resided in Bakersfield, CA, Los Banos, CA, Los Angeles, CA, and for the longest amount of time, Merced, CA where they raised two children, Robert Brown, and Kathleen Brown. Connie worked with the elderly as an Activity Director at a nursing home. She truly had a passion for her career. She retired from work when she became ill. In 2006, Her husband Bob, passed away. A few short years later, she relocated with her son Robert to McKinney, TX. She passed away two months later. If you have any questions, or know Connie, please feel free to send me a message.
