Gina's Story
Life
Couldn't write or calculate so majored in Computer Science in college. Goals I've achieved: Graduated from college and became employable and stayed that way for 14 years; attended a Grateful Dead Concert (all band members present); protested nuclear power in the 80's; went to China and met my Chinese family; lived in my van for 3 months traveling the west; married a great guy; had 2 great kids; quit working corporate America... Goals I've yet to achieve: See the Northern Lights; pet whales in Baja; lobby to make solar power a requirement for all new buildings in ...Expand for more
California; see my kids go to college and become independent; grow old with my husband.
Workplace
LMSC (1982-1986), met my husband, got married, hated working for the military machine, but got great experience, met great friends, made good money.
Digital Equipment Corporation (1986-1994), had 2 kids (Seattle, Atlanta), loved working and traveling, hated technical telephone support, figured out being "super working mom" wasn't worth it, figured out how leave Corporate America.
Home (1994-Present)- Best and most challenging job (and longest hours) I've ever had!!!!!
