Gina's Story
After High School, I attended college for a while, but really wanted to get out on my own. I was offered a position as a legal secretary for an attorney in Encino, California. At age twenty I met Dan, my future husband, and married at age twenty-one. Dan & I lived in the San Fernando Valley until our first daughter, Kristie, was born. We then moved to the Santa Clarita Valley in 1977. I have lived there since. Our second daughter, Brie was born in 1980. I continued to work as a legal secretary until 1985 when I entered law school. and Elder Law, practicing in the areas of Trust creation and administration, Probate, Conservatorships, Guardianships, Medi-Cal and Elder Law Issues. My website is ginamacdonald.com. After I was a practicing attorney for three years, Dan passed away. The girls were 11 and 14. Because of that, I decided to open up a private practice in Santa Clarita, to be closer to the children. I have never regretted the decision. The girls are now 39 and 42. . My Dad passed away about 24 years ago. My mother passed away in 2018 2.5 months shy of 100! I enjoy my profession and will be practicing for at least another year before I retire.
