Gina's Story
Nanaste Everyone,
I am blessed with 2 children - Jenita and Malek, they are 32 and 30 respectively as of August 2011. I love the Lord and enjoy sharing His word through the many gifts He has blessed me with.
I have a dog, Akin, who I call a puppy, yet he is an 14 year old pit.
I enjoy painting/illustrating when I get the chance. Reading is fundamental in my life and I ride my bike often and enjoy sharing the history of our ancestors in this land and in Africa by engaging children, youth and adults.
I am a storyteller, poet, playwright, drummer, and actor.
I had a local TV show that I put on hold to write and direct for a cast ...Expand for more
of 85 - 150. From 2004 - 2010, we have performed in CT, Brooklyn, NY and South Carolina. The production is called "The MAAFA Influence Production". It is time consuming, especially since I have a full time job that keeps me working day and night, yet it is worth it. (Google MAAFA Influence Production or my name for more info.)
My Daughter, Jenita is now married to a wonderful God fearing young man, Victor and they made me a grandmother in March 2010. My 1st grandchild!!!
My Son, Malek married a lovely young lady, Shakira in May 2010! I am pleased and excited. Another grandchild is on the way!!!
