Gina's Story
Graduated from LSU in '85 in computer science (I know- odd choice for an air headed cheerleader!)
Worked for a defense contractor in Dayton OH for a year and a half on the Fire Control Computer for the F-16 (computer model to test retrofit of weapons systems onto the F-16 platform).
Went to Tulane Univ School of Medicine from 89-93. General Surgery Resident at Vanderbilt 93-94 (liked Nashville!!) Radiology Residency Indianapolis 94-98 (didn't like the Colts or the snow!!) Fellowship in Interventional Radiology 98-99 at Rush-St Luke's in Chicago (Michigan Avenue is miserable in the winter!)
Worked in Ft Wayne IN for 10 yrs (liked that even less than Chicago) escaped back to the sunny south and am currently the director of the Breast Imaging & Intervention Fellowship at Feist-Weiller Cancer Center/LSU Shrev...Expand for more

Am currently reading a biography on Abigail Adams and took up yoga about four months ago and can sometimes hold my standing bow until the teacher says we can crash!! Life is good! : )
I've learned from my son- if you spray hairspray on a dust bunny and roll over it with a skateboard- it will spark!
I'd love to see Ms. Friese again... I thought she was so cool! Whenever I was really concentrating in her class, she would stop in the middle of her lecture and say "Gina don't squinch up your forehead... it will wrinkle".
My one "do-over" would be NOT to marry a cardiac surgeon. If you think they are difficult at the hospital... do NOT try this at home!
I hope my friends from Choctaw remember me as a nice person. One of my favorite quotes is from Cicero "Be kind... EVERYONE is fighting a hard battle."
