Life Someone kindly asked me to update my life story. There is not much to tell except perhaps the little bit I feel life has taught me. The more simple things have always had their appeal for me & it seems the older I get that does not change. I value my hubby of almost 14 years now...his kind heart, generous spirit, fun sense of humor & joy in sharing life with me. My kids bring me joy in their love of family & God, dedication to work, sense of right & wrong & striving for true purpose in their lives. And Luke, along with sister Lilla, our grandchildren, are treasures beyond words. Likewise, extended family means more than words can say & bring added joy & happiness to life's every day ups & downs. So after graduation from DCHS, 1st marriage to Mike, raising 2 kids while working various jobs from multiple ones at the Children's Home of Lubbock to the U.S. Post Office; Agricultural & Stabilization Conservation Service; finally finishing my BA in 1989, moving to the Dallas area & working more varied accounting\contract jobs from Color Tile, Cargill Flour Mill, McKesson Drug & Verizon Online...here I find myself once again married to a wonderful man, retired & taking life one day at a time which has been one of my favorite expressions most of my life. I love God, family, friends, the smell of rain, a wild thunderstorm, the fresh smell of a wondrous baby, aromatic smell of a fresh cup of coffee, a coke with great crushed ice, Mexican food, a smooth glass of wine, & the most decadent chocolate dessert imaginable.
