Ginger's Story
Life
Hi everybody! I'm living in a small town in Arkansas. Actually out in the country on 14 acres. I've been here since 1991 when my husband Tom retired from the Navy. We moved here with our youngest son, Shawn. Tom and I had married in 1984 and blended our families. I had two children, Andy and Holly from my first marriage. Tom had three children from a prior marriage! So we put them together and what a blessing! Not to say there weren't problems along the way but I know God brought these children to me and I love them like they were my own birth children. In fact, I adopted two of them. They are all grown now. The youngest, Shawn is in the Army stationed in Korea. One daughter, Jessica, lives next door to me with her husband and 2 daughters. I love having them so close to me and spending time with the grands. My eldest son, Andy is in Hollywood with his wife & 4 children. My oldest daughter, Holly lives in Washington State. She's an RN, married with 3 children of her own. My step daughter lives in Little Ro...Expand for more
ck with her three children. All the grandchildren are so precious to me! I can't believe that I actually have a granddaughter who graduated from high school last spring and is 18 years old! I feel so old (LOL)! In 2001 my husband and I were hit by a drunk driver going in excess of 100 mph. We were only about 5 miles from home. Tom lived for about 10 hours, long enough, Thank God, for us to say I Love you for the last time. I was injured as well, several surgeries and permanently disabled. Totally life changing event for me but I've learned to go on even though I miss him every day. My parents now live with me, it was just time for them to not be alone any more. They are such blessings in my life and I enjoy every day with them! The most important thing in my life is my family, always has been and always will be.
I do love to read, swim (I have a pool), scrapbook and travel. I'm going to St. Thomas this summer and I went on a cruise to Alaska two years ago...awesome! I'm also a Red Hatter, which is great fun!
