Ginny's Story
Life
After graduating from Lakota, I went on to graduate with a degree in secondary Social Studies Education at Ohio State University. I married my high school sweetie, Doug Johnson, in 1992.
We went to Cleveland, where Doug pursued his medical degree, graduating in 1997. In Cleveland, I worked a number of jobs - teaching junior high, working in an airport bar, working a latch-key-kids program, and also as a secretary for a CONVENT! I also got involved in community theater, and even got a paid acting gig!
We then moved on to Pittsburgh, PA, where Doug did a Pathology residency. I became a stay-home mom, which I love. I got involved in theater, directing at a local high school. I also started selling Mary Kay, got involved in our church, and started a Medical Spouse Association. We welcomed three children to our family while in Pittsburgh - Mitchell, Natalie and Sydney.
In 2003, we moved to Lexington, KY where Doug is practicing Pathology. I am still a stay-home mom, still doing Mary Kay. I also performed in a community theater production of "Guys and Dolls". We have added two more members to the family, Virginia, born Jan. 10, 2005, and Phillip, born Nov.22, 2006.

three times a day. We have all kinds of kid activities, family activities, church activities. There are not many dull moments! I am the secretary for our Ohio State Alumni Club in Lexington. I helped organize the 20 year reunion.
College
I went to Ohio State University - is there anywhere else??? :)
I was on the Scarlet Steppers dance team while there, which later became known as the Buckeye Dance Team. I was on that for two years.
Doug also attended, so much of my free time was spent with him, much like in high school. I roomed with Gretchen Wessel (class of 1988) during my sophomore year. Doug roomed with Rick Whiles his senior year.
I graduated with a BS in Education spring quarter 1991. Doug graduated with a BS in Biochemistry summer quarter 1991.
Workplace
I have held a variety of jobs. From working as a hostess/server at Cheers bar in Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport, to teaching, to working in a convent. The convent was by far my favorite work environment!
My current job, and the most important I have ever had, is being a mom. I stay home with 5 kids - Mitchell, Natalie, Sydney, Virginia and Phillip - and soon to be a sixth.
When I get some free time, I intend to get back into doing community theater.
