Life
Now in Oakdale (TCs) where I am a Planning Commissioner for the City. Married almost immediately after HS. My first job was as Assistant Plant Superintendent for a Cement Company, then a long career in computers when there were only about 6 computers on the planet, Computer Production Engineer, then Sr Programmer/analyst designing software Operating Systems for Mainframe computers (DOS), then computer consulting. Also simultaneaously had several small businesses, My own Real Estate company, Trail grooming, Dog kennel, inventions, PC Software Application programs, PC consulting, etc. For past 28 years married to a wonderful wife, have 3 daughters and some grandkids, all in TC area. About 1967 bought 125 acre farm just N of Twin Cities, had 9 horses, 30 cows, 120 dogs, 9 cats, goats, Chickens, 1 pet seagull, pet fox, tractor, plows, etc etc,... i still own the land and have a cabin on a creek there. Also in 1967 bought a fruit farm in Bayfield Wisc and have a solar powered "rustic" cabin way back in the woods on a high hill with a view of Lake Superior, boating in the Apostle Islands, and vacation there frequently Summer/Winter. Now live in Oakdale MN where I am a Planning Commissioner for the City. We have the best dog in the world, German Shepherd named Diesel. He has a job, we visit nursing homes, make people smile. He is a very loving companion and loves the attention (and cookies) he gets. We love the outdoors and do a lot of camping, hiking, backpacking, bicycling, anything outdoors, etc and have a really neat camper trailer. UPDATE - 2023 retired for 20 years. Good health, ..Still live in Oakdale MN, still have farm at Harris MN and Fruit Farm at Bayfield Wisc with view of Apostle Isla...Expand for more
nds and Lake Superior, ..cabins at both places. ... Also House in Playa del Carmen Mexico, daughter lives there 16 years, We visit often mostly winter. ... Love exploring the Yucatan peninsula, cenotes, caves, pyramids, etc, we mingle with the Mayans, not as "tourists".
. . In Oakdale I have Chickens, Pigeons, and Doves. .... They've been on TV and in the newspaper. .. . I take them everywhere, vacations, shopping, etc .. to events and visiting at dozens of nursing homes hundreds of times, held and petted by thousands, never a cage, ride on my arm and dashboard. I teach classes in various cities, "Keeping Chickens in Frigid Climates" and also "Pigeons as House Pets".. .. on FB as Bert Larson. . . Will travel some for classes. ....

Favorite teacher?-Mr Burrows(sp?) My Mother moved to Stillwater now but until 2005 lived about 3 blocks from East so visited there fairly frequently.
College
Was married through most of college, and worked 1-2-3 jobs, not much spare time, but graduated with degree in Business and Economics, minor Geography, and art.
Workplace
Loved my jobs during college. Draftsman: Architectual, Structural, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Landscape, Illustrator for Technical magazine publisher. 1st job after college, Assistant Plant Superintendent for Huron Portland Cement Company. Then moved to Minneapolis, Production Engineer for Univac then promoted to computer Programmer, programmer-analyst, Sr Analyst, designing operating systems (DOS) for mainframe computers. At the same time became a Real Estate Broker, my own company for 38 years (still do). After Univac, computer consulting for many years (still do). Have many inventions (pat applied for?), and I am a Planning Commissioner for the City of Oakdale MN. Trying to retire but too busy.
