Gladys's Story
Life
If you know me, you know I love animals! So I have three! One cat and two dogs. A rottweiler, a dachsand (wiener dog), a calico and a "tuxedo" cat. I got married On October 31, 2005 at the reservior to Andrew James Overton. We had a little girl February 17, 2005. She is a toddler now! I stay at home with her and chase her around all day. We still live in Mississippi but are planning to move to LA, CA soon! Andrew currently works for Budweiser and has for 10 years plus!
School
I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to attend both Middle and Highschool in one spot. Most people never recieve that kind of stability. I hated middle school though. I don't remember much except for the fights I kept getting into. Highschool was much better though. I found the work we did was more interesting and fun. Maybe it was the teachers, I don't know.
College

f Science May 2001. I immediatly got hired at Hinds Community College in Ramond and took more classes for free for two year. I now also have a Veterinary Technichian certificate. Someday (soon) I plan to attend a veterinary school for my doctorate.
Workplace
While I attented JSU I had an office job that paid 10 dollars an hour. Though the hours were low, I found that it was better than nothing. After working and attending Hinds for two years I put in an application for the Jackson Zoological Park. I was lucky enough to get the job and stayed for two years with my title ending as assistant manager. I have been offered my job back numerous times but am currently enjoying staying at home with our toddler.
Military
Many of you know that I was in JROTC in Highschool.
At JSU I stayed in ROTC for 3 years. If I had remained in another year I would have had to enlist. I decied it wasn't for me. More power to our US soldiers. You will always be in my prayers.
