Glen's Story
Life:
Lived in June Lake CA from 1963-70 attended Lee Vining Elementary.
In 1984 I put myself into treatment for substance abuse (in my case it was alcohol, pot and hash, but those turned out to be secondary to sugar and adrenaline). I have been clean and sober since 1986.
What the events of 911 did for me was to clarify what is truly important for me. That was family, singing and finding the joys of living in community. The 13 year relationship I was in ended and I resigned from my position at the UofW (Seattle, Wa), moved to Port Townsend Wa (where my parents live) in 2002. I met a wonderful woman (Laurel)who was a cut flower farmer at the time and we have been married since 2003. I got to sing in a Vocal Jazz group from 2002 to 2007 and had a blast. I have also been working with kids thru the WSU Extension Master Gardener Program. Laurel and I are no longer cut flower farmers but we do enjoy our cut flower garden!!!. We are also very active with the Unity Church in Port Townsend. I don't have any kids of my own but I am blessed to be a grandpa to 3 beautiful girls. tal surprise that I was as sick as I was. I have returned to full client load in my practice (Feb 2020) and I am deeply grateful.
School
Since I have added my name to two High Schools. The following are the years I went to each school: Rincon HS, Tuscon AZ (73-74 Freshman, 74-75 Sophmore). Sheldon HS, Eugene OR (75-76 Junior, 76-77 Senior). I attended University of Arizona for a few semesters and dropped out, sold stereo equipment for awhile until a friend asked me and three others to start working with him with his new Locksmith business in Tuscon AZ (81). I apprenticed for 2 years and have been a Locksmith for 26 years now (07). This included having my own business and working as a Program Developer/Administrator for the University of Washington Police Dept's Security and Access Control System. I have worked for a Locksmith Company in Port Townsend since 02. Do to the economic downturn(08-09) I took advantage of some retraining funds and started attending Port Townsend Massage School's Professional Licensing Program. I graduated in 12/09, passed my state boards and started my practice 02/10. I have had my own practice for 10 years now (2020) and am absolutely loving it.
