Glenda's Story

As I was sitting here this rainy Thursday night I briefly thought about the past and decided that there are those times that are best not remembered. Each one of us had our days and we each have a story to be told. Good, better or best, looking out our own paradigms, which many of us have changed at least once by now. Our lives have turned, sometimes many shades and in several directions. Happenings of life and how they have effected, influenced and changed us. There's a thought I still hold to: life is what you make of it. It's ours for the taking and holds choices; good or bad. We have the privilege to choose. A few absolutes like being born, parents, siblings and death. No choice but how I live is. Here's a thought of the past. I am plain glad, happy, blessed, thankful though all of this I have come out on the other side. As I am sure some of you are. Alive, thinking and living well. Tom and I will celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary in July 2010. Yes, with the same man and we had 4 wonderful kids. Whom we are proud of and dearly love. "We are Family"(Sly&The Family Stone)¿. sorry! Sometimes situations make me think of music. We celebrated our 35th with a totally paid trip to Disney World. No Mickey Mousing around. Our son Jeremy which some of you knew pasted away March of 1986 at the young age of 11. How did we deal; I wrote a book "All About Me, What About You". The monies went to the M.P.S. Society in the New York, for medical equipment for children with no Ins. Our daughter is married with 3 children, yes a grandson 16,2 granddaughters 11,13. Two sons, one is married with wonderful Chihuahuas and is a creative web designer/ ...Expand for more
advertiser. Our other son enjoys life works hard and is a writer. We've lived in Traverse City for 19 years and we totally enjoy it here; as does Michael Moore. Yes, us Flintoids know who this is. He has brought a lot of monies to this area. I work as a Personal Assistant and Tom has owned his own business for years, now attending N.M.C. college to improve the brain. Ouch!!! Thought from the past: I still would like to visit Woodstock. Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Santana, Be-Gees, Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker all still have a distant feeling in my mind. I've been a Christian for along time now and love being so. Teaching and raising up Prayer Teams, working with Youth, Pregnancy Center, Hospital Visitation, and recenty work with Women¿s Ministry teaching. I enjoy my 4 x 4 Red Jeep, my 2 baby dogs Allie and Jacob, reading, walking and standing under a bright yellow Maple Tree. It makes me feel all glowy, love it, try it sometime. You'll be pleasantly surprised!!! Fall is my favorite time of the year, colors smells and sounds of leaves rustling in the wind. My favorite song is "Man in the Mirror" Michael Jackson and "Layla" by Derek & The Dominos. I enjoy creating scarves which are displayed at downtown T.C. at our local Gallery and have a local following for them each year. Well I feel like I just put my resume out there so if anyone has a great paying job let me know. I would like to write a second book before the end of this life. What do I miss most about my past? My best friend Marie Knapp. She introduced me to my hubby Tom, You know??? What a memory--- that is Until death do us part! Hey choose life and live well! Glenda
