Glenda's Story
Since graduating from St. Pete high, I received a scholarship for the Miss. St. Pete Pageant, and went to SPJC and USF. I worked with Maas Brothers, and a short time with Landmark Bank when they brought in a young executive - Mr. Paul Bailey, who started dating a very pretty girl named Joan Franklin. He was with the bank when they launched the first ATM. "Maryann". I left there to go back to Maas Brothers and work in the buying offices in Tampa. From there I got married, Moved to gainesville UF.. for continued studies, but also for Dental school...for my then husband. In Gainesville I started with Piedmont Airlines before anyone had heard of them in Florida. We launched the shuttle flights throughout Florida.
During those years Paul and Joan were very nice and kept in contact by writing several cards and notes, and that meant a lot, more than I can ever express. I had ovarian cancer and was not expected to survive, but fooled everyone!

just had a son at the time Piedmont was purchased by US Air and was on leave so when I wanted to transfer they were on a freeze. So I went next door and started working for American Airlines. Worked for American on base moving the military 82nd Airborne for Desert Storm, received a commendation, and then moved back to Florida where I transferred to Macdill to work with Central Command, General Tommy Franks and his advance team. They are a great group of people and work very hard, it was an honor to work with them as a civilian.
My son and I have lived in Dunedin since then and I currently work from home for a Travel Management company. My client is Raymond James, where you would find Van Sayler. My son is at UCF, loving it and doing extremely well. I have attended a few of the past reunions, but not the last 2. It is nice hearing from everyone and seeing them as well, I seem to run into people from school and have throughout my life and it truly is a small world.!
I wish you all the very best!
